Kimmy is an MBA-IT Management student at Western Governors University. She is currently a Software Engineer at Dallas College with 7+ years of experience in the field of technology and engineering with a wide range of industries, including Start-up, Fortune 50 Company, and Higher Ed Institution. Her work experience involves developing cutting-edge web applications, facilitating developer and customer communication, providing servant leadership of agile teams, organizing and leading projects and events. She is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and ITIL Foundation Certified.
She is passionate about technology and enjoys problem solving as she desires to make life easier for everyone. If given the right environments, resources, and talents, she believes she is able to accomplish everything she sets her mind on. With a background in software engineering, her goal is to motivate, inspire, and encourage young women to pursue careers in technology and engineering. More importantly, as one of the co-founders of CSAUSA, Kimmy wants to empower young Cambodians to pursue higher education abroad and hopes this platform will give them the opportunity and guidance to succeed in their personal, academic, and professional endeavors.
Kimmy has also been involved in student-mentoring activities which provide female students in middle schools and colleges with the opportunities to connect with local female technologists working within the tech industry.
Kimmy obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas.
