She was a coordinator for the 2019 International Night where she invited 5 different countries represented performers to the event.
As a SHECAN scholar, Rosie frequently attends various webinars and information sessions where she shares her U.S experiences and tips on how to apply for scholarships. She hopes that her engagement through the sessions will inspire young women especially in Cambodia to pursue their dreams and goals.
Rosie said that CSAUSA is important to her because CSAUSA serves as a platform and community for her to express her identity as Cambodian in the U.S while strengthening the network with other Cambodian students who are also studying here in the U.S. “Being the only one in the family who resides in the U.S, bringing the sense of community toward other Cambodian students is my biggest goal according to my own hardship”, Rosie continued. Her goal is to connect Cambodian students, partners, and other student associations to create a community where Cambodian students can connect, share, and learn from each other.
