Soktheavy Phouk, a recent graduate from Kampong Thom province, has earned her Bachelor of Political Science degree from Brigham Young University Hawaii. She was attracted to study in the United States due to the high quality of education in social sciences and the opportunity to be part of a globally influential academic community that encourages diverse mindsets and insights. This environment enabled her to learn from the unique perspectives of her fellow students.
Committed to supporting her community, Soktheavy volunteered to join the Cambodian Students Association in the United States. Her involvement is aimed at assisting Cambodian students in both the U.S. and Cambodia by offering advice on studying in the United States. Additionally, she is eager to share her experiences, including her internships and life in the U.S., to guide and inspire her fellow Cambodian students in their academic and professional journeys.
